This warm winter cocktail is a twist on the traditional eggnog, made using brandy and rum. The combination of egg and alcohol give it a delicious, creamy texture with a kick – perfect for sipping while snuggled up by the fire on a cold winters day.
Tom & Jerry Winter Cocktail (serves 2)
1 egg, separated
1 ounce rum
1 ounce brandy
1 tbsp sugar
Pinch ground cinnamon
Pinch ground cloves
Pinch ground allspice
12 ounces hot milk
Freshly grated nutmeg (for garnish)
Whisk the egg yolk, rum and brandy together in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the egg white, sugar and spices until if forms stiff peaks and add this into the yolk and alcohol mixture. Divide the mixture into two warmed mugs and top with the warmed milk, stirring until foamy. Garnish with a shaving of fresh nutmeg and enjoy!
