Morning Detox Drink

{Cayenne pepper, cinnamon and turmeric}

One of my favourite ways to start the day is with a hot drink, and this detox recipe is full of fresh ginger, spices and lemon to boost your metabolism and get your digestive system off to a good start. On top of the serious health benefits, it also tastes great!

Ingredients:

Juice of 1/2 lemon

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp turmeric

1 tsp fresh ginger, finely chopped

1 mug boiled water

Squeeze of honey, to taste

Method:

Place all of the ingredients into a mug and stir to combine. Add a squeeze of honey if the drink is too bitter, then drink up and enjoy!
